Killarney Racecourse is located in the town of Killarney, one of Ireland’s most popular tourist destinations.
Killarney Racecourse is without doubt Ireland’s Most Scenic Racecourse and possibly the World’s. With the magnificent McGuillycuddy Reeks, Lakes of Killarney and Ross Castle providing the backdrop, the view as the horses pass the finishing line can only be described as breathtaking.
Each year Killarney hosts 11 days of racing split over three Summer Festivals. The three day May meeting opens the season and the season builds towards the four day July meeting. This festival is one of the highlights on Ireland’s social calendars and is one of the best days out during the summer season. Our racing season closes with the August four day meeting; this meeting marks the beginning of the National Hunt season proper with many of Ireland’s top National Hunt horses reappearing during our four day festival.
Killarney Racecourse combines the very best of horse racing with a fantastic festival atmosphere so that all race goers enjoy the very best social and sporting experience.
